Hi All,

I completed my FP on 01/27/2005 and the LUD on 485 changed to 03/08/05 but there is no change in the message, Any idea what it could be?

AS per the pattern. 485 approvals could be 3-4 months after FP, if your name check is cleared. If your LUD changed, it means somebody is working on your case.

I don't think many people are left in this forum anymore...only a few unfortunate ones like us...

anyhow I talked with my lawyer and she said there is not much reason to panic...the processing date is a suggested time line..

have any of you enquired with USCIS...any news, suggestions, hints...
just to keep the forum live...

I saw Immigrationwatch.com. I don't know how far this is correct but the statistics are as below (I-485 for 2003):

TOTAL : 87459
APPROVED : 21918 (25.0%)
TRANSFERRED : 36662 (41.9%)

I am also not sure how much accurate is the XL sheet anymore. I think a lot of people haven't updated it when they got approved.

Also, there are people who haven't even updated it since they first joined.

I would really like to figure out how many of us are "actually" waiting.

25% approved seems to low to me but if 41.9% got transferred that might be a logical number.

I presume transferred means moved to some other local office / national center

Who know how long we would be waiting here...

Look at post #2374 in page 159 of this forum. I did research on EB-2 cases but no one bothered to update your tracker.

My friend's 485 also approved yesterday
His 485/140 applied: March 19, 2004
140 approved: Dec 2004
485 RFE received: Jan 2005
RFE responce received: Feb 9, 2005
485 Approved: March 17, 2005.
His wife's also approved yesterday.

I would like to see more approvals.

My case is stuck at "Name Check".
I did everything about it and got the response saying that they have may cases pending ...........

When I requested enquiry with USCIS about my I-485. They also mentioned that my Name check is still pending and my I-485 is delayed because of this.

I-485 (RD June 2003)
All Done : I140, FP, AP, EAD .....

How did you know that your case is stuck in Name check.

My lawyer told me that USCIS would never specify exactly at what stage is your case stuck. Did they specifically mention that it is stuck in Name check?

Legalfrustrated could you let us know how you had figured out that your case is stuck in the name check process. I tried wrting to USCIS and also wrote and sent an email to FBI, nobody got bak with me yet. I wrote to them the beginning of this month.

Try calling this lady at FBI she is a analyst.
