140 priority date question

I have an approved I-140 from April 2001 from my previous employer.

My new employer had filed for a I-140 and I-485 in Aug 2003. The current priority date for I-140 in VSC is Oct 2002.

1. Can I reuse the priority date from my approved I-140 (from old employer)

2. If yes, What is the process to go make sure that my current I-140 application gets processed with the old priority date.

Answer is no

First off all I-140 does not have any Priority date. Priority dates come into the picture if the visa dates are not current. Visa dates are different from processing dates. For I-140 processing only receipt date or what we call as RD is considered.
