Thanks Guys ...YES !!!..It was laura bush's mail to DOJ which helped ...else every one else was making me go round & round for year ...congressman liason is good to keep track of any progress on your case ..but they can not expedite the case. Sending Direct mails to FBI /USCIS Director etc...

Did you file on the basis of US Citizen spouse or permanent resident spouse ?timelines vary accordingly ..& did they tell you what is I-485 waiting on ? Or did you have interview yet ? Thx

Dont worry there are lot of people in the same boat ,sounds like you are stuck in FBI Name Check / Background Check ... Keep checking with USCIS & consider writing to senetor / Congressman. Thx

Not really , you can file as soon as your spouse becomes USC , Even being LPR they can sponser you for GC but it takes a longer time Thanks

Please add my case as well I-130/I1-485 Oct'03 (marriage to USC) Interview Jun'04 ...Pending Name Check ever since... Writen to Senator(s), Congressman , FBI (FOIPA-No Hit)...visited USCIS office a few times ...im not sure what else can I do besides filing a law suit...

They dont do a FBI name check for EAD/AP , its only done for I-485 , i had my interview in Jun'04 pending background (Name Check) , i have applied for EAD twice after that...I Efiled my application ..its very simple 1. Submit E-filed EAD 2. Send supporting document to address on the Efile...

Thanks Buggin ...my case is not complicated , i have a clean background ..i have been waiting on GC since October03 (I-485/I130 filing) date on basis of marriage to a USC , was interviewed in Jun'04 - since then i have been waiting on background check/ Name Check ...Have written to Senators...

Does anyone know any good immigration lawyer who will file WOM for my case ? Or do I need a lawyer ? ...what do most of the people on this forum do ? Please reply when u get a chance ..thanks

If your marriage is bonafide ...you dont need to worry about it ...like sg said they could curious ...because its an unusual thing to do for newly wed to be staying apart ...

Can we file WOM for I-485 ? How much does it cost & what are chances of wining when you have 100% clean background (which I do)? Thoughts ? I do get frustated sometimes with background check ...i know my background & I know they are just holding up people of no consequence in pending state...
