I got the same email today for my wife's case (I am the primary applicant). Nothing happened for my case, still pending for NC. The following is what I found. I will update when I get the real letter.

Immigrants are reporting that their pending I-485 applications have lately been transferred from VSC or CSC to either TSC or NSC depending on where they are located...
Our cases (me and my wife) are also transfered from Vermont to Texas. I got the same email. Our priority date is April 2005.
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS Current Status:
This case has been sent to another office for processing. On...
Most agents are quite nice and patient. They would check the system, or even asked someone else if they did not know about my name check status. Most of the time, they can see from the system that my name check is still pending with FBI. You just have to ask specifically whether the name check...
It seems to me reasonable that FBI has to do name check again if someone has to wait for priority date for a long time after the first name check was cleared. It is possible that someone may committ a crime during the long waiting period. This is just my guess.
Dear friends:
I called vermont service center today to do my monthly check on the status of my name check result (whether it is returned to the center or still with FBI). One lady told me that since my case is on visa hold shelf (waiting for priority date), nothing will be done on my case, even...
Very useful tip! I talked with a very nice rep today and got additional information about my case which is not reflected in the online status. Specifically, he told me that my case is in FBI for name check and my wife's name check was just finished today. They are reviewing it. He also told me...
Hi, sffamily:
Which service center are you in? Based on the email response you got from Mr. Williams (who is this guy?), all the pending 485s are affected by this retrogression. Is that right?
I am in Vermont service center.
Thanks
Thanks a lot for the clarification. When I did my first fingerprinting, it was a code 3, i.e. 10 fingers+signature+photo. I am in Vermont service center.
I assume that CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov is for California Service Center. Is there a similar email for Vermont Service center? Thanks a lot for your information.
I also got a LUD of 10/3/05 without any message change. Where did you guys send emails to get the response like those listed above? Thanks for sharing all the information.
My case:
140/485 concurrent on 4/7/05
140 AD 6/21/2005
FP 9/10/2005
LUD 9/13/2005 without message change
LUD...
Both I and my wife did finger print on Sep. 10, 2005. LUD for our 485s changed to Sep 13, 2005 after 3 days. I assume it is related to fingerprinting. I am still waiting for 485 approval. I am not sure how this retrogression will impact on our case.
NIW I-140, I-485(concurrently) ND 04/20/05
I-140 AD 06/21/05
No news about FP or 485.
It looks like all of you guys got FP notice shortly after concurrent filing. Did you get it from your lawyer or directly from USCIS? My employer is a government agency and if USCIS sent FP notice to the...
When did you get the FP notice, before I140 approval or after I140 approval? I filled I140/I485 concurrently on the same day(4/20/2005). I got my I140 approval yesterday (6/21/2005). But I haven't heard anything about FP yet.
Good news. My 1st I140 was also approved today after 2 months (RD 4/20/3005). Now it is time to wait for FP notice like you guys. I will put my info here once I have it. Good luck to everyone.
I have the same problem on A#, the leading 0 missing on 485. I guess it is normal. Receipt notice date for my concurrent filing was 4/20/2005. I haven't heard anything about either 140 or 485 yet. I submitted an identical 140 NIW by myself (self-petition) on May 5, 2005 and this second 140 got...
I also used a template written by a lawyer even though I prepared everything by myself. Don't worry about "sounding arrogant". I believe USCIS officers are used to those words. If you don't use them, they may think you are inferior to those who use them. After all, they may focus more on the...
I don't know where you heard this. My colleague did the same thing in 2002 (one NIW by self-petion and another NIW by employer-petition). Both of them got approved. I sent my questioin to several lawyers. None of them mentioned that this is not allowed. I don't see any reason why you cannot do...
