My husband (primary applicant) and I (dependent) got our 485 approvals in February, and got passport stamping on same day early March. Two weeks later I got my greencard. My 485 LUD and status update message changed twice to reflect the order of the card and the mail of the card. However, my...

I suppose the form with fingerprint and signature is for the formal green card processing. They need signature and fingerprint in our final green cards.
To answer the two questions
First, it's not a blank paper (sorry for the confusion). It's some kind of double-sided form the officer used. The signature should be signed at the right bottom, fingerprint above it. She asked us to do it twice front and back, probably because then she would be...
My husband and I went to passport stamping this morning. It went very smooth. First, you only need one appointment for the whole family (you, spouse, kids, …). This is actually something officially stated when you make the appointment through INFOPASS on line. We made only one appointment and we...
passport stamping
I am going to passport stamping on 3/9. Please post your stamping experience on 3/8. Thank you!
For people who have the passport stamping experience, is passport stamping just a standard procedure? Or is it still some kind of interview? What can go wrong there? I know they...
I just got my 485 approved together with my husband's 140 and 485 approvals. We have been married for less than one year as of today. I read something like if the marriage is less than 2 or 3 years before the green card is issued, the marriage-based green card will be conditional. A 'permanent'...
Our 485 were also approved!
Just got approval notices (emails) on both my husband's and my 485s. Approved same day (2/22/2005) as our 140. For some reason, the approval was sent out just this moment. LUD changed to 2/23/2005.
Cannot believe it! So happy! And our guess became true! At least...
My husband’s 140 was finally approved after an ability to pay RFE. He filed his 140 and 485 in 5/2004. 140 got an RFE on 12/30/2004. RFE response received by 1/28/2005 by USCIS. LUD changed on 2/1/2005 and 2/22/2005. 140 approved on 2/22/2005.
We had been quite worried about the ability to...
My husband’s coworker got her 140 approved about one week after she filed her 140 RFE response. My husband got the same RFE (ability to pay) same day as she received the RFE, and filed response at least five days earlier than her, but has not got any approval yet. His 140 RFE receipt date was...
My husband’s coworker got her 140 approved about one week after she filed her 140 RFE response. My husband got the same RFE (ability to pay) same day as she received the RFE, and filed response at least five days earlier than her (same attorney sent out their response, but the coworker’s case...
Thank you, UnitedNations
That cleared my mind. Also, I talked to the attorney myself. What my husband told me was not very accurate. The company didn't want to give my attorney their tax returns when she was preparing documents for 140. So she just got a CFO statement while no financial...
My husband got an RFE on his 140. The RFE asked for ‘employee’s 2004 W2’ and the company’s ability to pay. We just got all documents ready, including his W2 and the company’s financial documents. Talked to his attorney. Attorney said she is using net current asset to support ability to pay, and...
It will be even worse if your husband worked for
State of California :-) So take it easy.
I think UN discussed this issue in his comprehensive post regarding how to deal with ability to pay. Basically, you can argue the organization is non-profit.
Here is the thread...
Thanks everyone!
Your support is really encouraging. By the way, USCIS did ask for my husband's 2004 W2... But after reading all the posts, I think the biggest help will be net current asset. We will be talking to the attorney and the company's CPA for more information.
Thank you!
My husband's situation is a tricky one. Pls HELP!!!
Thank you for your reply. It’s very helpful. My husband's attorney just confirmed that my husband's 140 also got a RFE on ability to pay.
I am a little discouraged as I found out of the four criteria in the thread, maybe only #4 can be...
My husband's coworker just got a RFE on her 140 regarding the company's ability to pay. She filed her 140 a little earlier than my husband. I am really worried about that my husband will get same RFE and their 140 might be rejected even after they submitted evidences. I also saw in this forum...
