thanks Rohit, GCG...thanks all...hope all of you get your approvals soon... I can tell u this from my experience....my senator's help really got this for me...they were tireless and really did everything needed... in fact my 140 and the 485 were directly approved when they intervened...

Just got my approval mails (actually a bunch of them) I still can't believe that this journey took so long.... My case was filed in June 2003 and was delayed due to every possible reason. no more checking those dates and logging in etc.... I wish every single one of you a speedy...

just got response from the FBI saying that namecheck was completed in May my email was sent out on 6th Jan...

Hello, do the unavailable visa numbers mean that portability too is no longer in effect? pls advise...

multiple emails should not matter at all...send them in a sequence such as monthly and you will start getting responses as they approach that time...

namecheck is different from fingerprints...you need to send an email to FBI with your A#, DOB etc to find out if they did the namecheck or not...the namecheck is a background check basically... tks

i called this morning with one of the numbers from rahul kumar's postings...don't waste your time...the lady there will ask you if you sent an email and then she said rather gruffly...'wait till you get a response'....
