Forgive me if this is an often repeated question. I got the approval letters for I-1485 (I think 797) and an email saying my card was ordered. What am I supposed to do next? Passport stamping? Do i need to wait for another letter that instructs me how to do this or is the 797 enough...

Like I said..it was a LONG/unlucky? process. Yeah it was sort of unlucky... I got an RFE on 140 (ability to pay, taxes etc). Approval happened within a month of the RFE. Hopefully you will get yours soon. Good luck

You (or your lawyers or for that matter anyone) never know the real deal, about the name check thing...I have seen other cases as well in this forum, when they got approvals but the name check was supposedly pending. I think lawyers just dish out standard official message when they get a "name...

No LUD. ND is 3/16/04. They received the RFE response on 2/22/05, after that there was no LUD. I recently asked my lawyer to initiate an enquiry, I suspect this might be because of that.

Seems like we are exactly on the same boat, perhaps even the same officer. Have you tried calling the emergency #? I did and bumped into a very non-co-operative agent. If you do have any luck with the emergency #, let me know.

Biometrics and LUD I had a biometrics done on 4/2 and there was a LUD on my 485 (ND - 3/23/04) on 4/4. I think everyone gets a LUD after a fp/biometrics. Does biometrics actually indicate that it is close to the finish line?
