skjun02,
I agree with what you say but I received a letter from USCIS that my address was changed to my new address ... But that had actually not happened .... But anyway ... I got that card ..
I too got my card on 3/11. My card was approved when I was out of the US. One thing worth mentioning was that my card was sent to my old address inspite of me sending AR-11 by registered mail to notify INS of my new address. Luckily there was no "return service requested" note on the envelope or...
Congrats IDreams! Thanks for maintaining the plastic thread.
Today marks the 200th day of wait for me and many of us as per the excel sheet. What a dubious distinction! Shame on NSC ...
From most posts I have noticed that they are taking exactly 9 months to issue the cards.
Anyone getting it eralier should consider themselves very lucky.
No sense of calling 1-800-USE-LESS - That will definitely not speed up things.
I sent an email to the British embassy and they said anyone without a visa stamp or a plastic card will need a transit visa. For example people with APs or I-551.
I know a freind of mine who was not allowed to board the plane at O'Hare because his H1 had expired and had a valid AP.
I am planning to travel through London and have the I-551 stamp. Do I need a transit visa. I know this has been asked many times before but I did not find a suitable answer.
Thanks in advance.

Are they refering to the usual address change ?
Do we need to notify them separately of any address change ??
Well SRJumde let me first tell you what happened ... One fine evening in June/2004, after about one and a half years (our notice dates were Nov/2002) of no status changes and silence, I got 4 emails from USCIS - two identical ones each for me and my wife. The emails said that RFEs were raised...
My wife finally got her approval yesterday after about 4 months of my approval.
A RFE was supposedly raised in June along with my case ... which never came ... and now we know it was a RFE that was never issued.
Dont worry. They raised a RFE for my wife along with mine in June. My attorney received my RFE but not my wife's. I was finally approved in July. In one of the NCS's liason's meetings, they told my attorney that some overzealous idiot mistakenly raised a RFE for my wife but actually there is/was...
