you can email to FBINNCP@ic.fbi.gov, requesting for information on name check, if USCIS requested to them and if they have responded for the same. Provide your Full Name, Alien Number, date of birth and email so that they can respond back. Usually they take long time like 2-4 months.

You should file in Texas for labor applications from texas service center area. You cannot use it and file in california service center.
