We came back from our vacation in Italy, last night. It was the first time we we used the red channel. Pretty smooth in and out. It was pretty surprising to see them finger printing USCs but we didn't have to do it. Anyways, feels good to be a permanent resident :)
I have been a beneficiary of this great community for the last couple of years. Now I see people moving on after getting their GC. Some like me can't leave even after the GC :) , but that's another story.
All this while I've been wondering if we could find a common ground beyond immigration...
I finally got my GC last month. Apart from the anxiety this long process has generated, most of us haven't seen much career growth during this entire period due to "same/similar job" restrictions. Although AC21 helped in changing jobs, but anything that deviated too far from the same/similar job...
I am thrilled to get my approval and really happy to see all of my friends get approved. Although, I would like to stay on and congratulate each and everyone, but I guess it's not possible. For the last couple of months I have been so hooked to this forum that it's been difficult to concentrate...
I guess I'm approved too. Thanks all for your support.
So the rumors about bulk approvals in July, 2nd week
..... visa numbers assigned to pending cases
..... everything was TRUE
Good luck to all who are waiting!
Please do not support the AILF Class Action Lawsuit
I do not see the justification for the lawsuite. Here are my reasons:
Chain of events leading to the July Visa Bulletin Update:
1. In the beginning of this year, USCIS realized that due to their conservative approach in handling...

I feel the disappointment too. July visa update (retrogression) is imminent but I don't feel that all visa categories will become unavailable. After this crazy circus, I think that nobody has a clue (including USCIS) about the demand for visa numbers. They (USCIS) jumped the gun by making all...
I too went for Infopass today. Just as we pulled out, we saw a black cat cross our path :) Since we live on a cul-de-sac there was no other way out :) Anyways, we drove to Boston and parked on New Chardon St. Fed the meter for an hour and walked to Sudbury Street where the Federal Building is...
All,
I think we need to be proactive and take some action. In the first week of June when TSC started approving cases and NSC wasn't, NSC folks complained to the USCIS Ombudsman and DHS Hotline. Please see the following thread..

Thank you for your feedback on the CIS Ombudsman's Priorities for Fiscal
Year 2007. Your input is invaluable to our mission of assisting
individuals and employers in resolving problems with USCIS.
Please note that your email pertains to a specific case matter, so if
you have not already...
I have tried to keep my signature updated with the most up to date information, so other people can get all the relevant information about my case. Since most of us folks here are analytical, we like to slice and data to come up with our individual theories. Many times we do come close to making...
Looks like TSC is slowing down as compared how they started on June 1st. There have been no approvals reported on this site that got their emails today. All of them got it last night.
Is it because it's time for the July VB and they've suddenly realized that they are running out of numbers...
Hi,
Some folks got approved following a service request they opened. And I also remember reading a post where the Immigration Officer called the concerned person in response to the service request, prior to approving them.
Can you guys post the details of the call you received from the...
