I guess that explains what USCIS had with people like us. Worry, worry and worry about everything. We'll make every single day of your lives hell..

    Your advice needed, pls. help

There's no fixed percentage that costs any employer. The bigger the employer, the better benefits you get (usually, since they get better group rates). Contract work is a entire different world. The hourly rate is not a mere measurement salary/12 months + benefits. Big time hourly contact...

I am confused regarding job change.

No worries Unless you badly burnt bridges with your sponsoring employer, you are good. There is no crystal clear definition of permanent emloyment anyways.

Company changing name (effect on I-485 ?)

Let the company's lawyer handle it.. My company was acquired by another.. but I had my labor applied with the first company. However, my new company's lawyers sent INS letters specifying the acquisition details so that we didn't have to start the process all over. Talk to your lawyer or...

YEAH!!! It is Oct_2002's turn!! Self and spouse approved!!

Yes, you can travel Yes, you can travel just with stamping in your passport. Passport stamping is as good as having a green card (literally the card) with you. However, your wife and kid may return to US using their Advance Parole (as they would have done without approvals) Hope this helps.

Is marriage cert. necessary to send for EAD renewal for spouse? Please Help!

I believe they already have the marriage certificate from the first time you applied for EAD. However, if you do not have the stub from your current EAD, the process might take longer (just because of the missing link - current EAD stub)

    140 Approved

I wish I knew what "case referal" was but I did not do anything. I was going to call the NSC 800 number to check status (I suppose this is "case referal") and ask about the delay (since the website says they're processing April or May) today or tomorrow, but they didn't give me a chance

Gurus...Need Help ASAP on H1 issue

No need to worry You are legal as long as you have a valid visa. The I-94 on the passport might say any date but your H1 papers determine the legality. However, it's the visa on your passport that'll let you in the country if you happen to go abroad. So you might have to re-validate your...

Attached is the Complaint we have filed

Re: Re: Additional time after we give The 8 point Request? If they file a motion to dismiss the case, will we have any say in the decision or is it pretty much at the mercy of the judge?? If the case is dismissed, is it possible to re-open the case? Is there a limit on how many times...

Can We settle on These Bases?

the more you ask, the more you get (still less that what you asked for) Aim higher and we won't be disappointed with what we get (assuming we get something). 140, 485, "actual" GC, citizenship... we should cry foul for everything and we might get lucky with something. Just shooting for...

    IS EAD Enough?

EAD should be enough as a proof to work legally in the states. If they raise a concern anout it expiring in one year, just explain that it is like a H1 that expires in 3 years, except that the company does not have to worry about applying themselves.

February 2003 I140/I484 concurrent Filers - READ ONLY

What's the latest count? Do we know if a good percentage of Feb filers have been approved. It still seems like a lot of us are still waiting. However, we are seeing some september and october approvals (some of them without any RFEs). --Slink
