I just got my GC approved and I am planning to go to NYC immigration office tomorrow to get my passport stamped. I've heard that NYC office only stamp passport on Friday. Is it true? Is there any one who got their passport stamped on any other weekday?

I forgot to mention, I did registered at USCIS website, and I did receive the email notification in the email. I just didn't know that I could use it to go to immigration office for passport stamp. Since it worked for you, I will definitely try it, too. And thank you for sharing your experience.
