i too got my "welcome" notice dt. 6/28 and got stamped (giving photos and FP) on 7/9... yday i received the usual approval letter dt. 7/9 ... and only yday my online status changed ... clearly the system is so screwed up...
also the officer who filled out our forms and took the FP's...

got my "welcome" notice by mail on 7/2 ..... amidst all confusion my attorney fixed up an ADIT appointment at San Jose on 7/9... the process was very simple and it took 20 mins of waiting and another 20 mins for the officer to fill out 3...
I got this "Welcome to U.S" letter by mail on sat... i thought it was all over...
It does say that my application for perm residence has been approved. We will soon mail you a new Perm Resident Card. You should receive it within the next 3 weeks.

i too had a very smooth time... was out in 10 mins... this is my 2nd FP and i went ahead of my scheduled date of 2/10..
does an RFE follow the 2nd FP ... if so, when ?? any correlation between them ?? what has been the experience so far..

is it always 90 days by default ? assuming i get 60 days to respond and i only have the time to generate 2 months' paystubs, would that be a problem ? my company says that they can issue a letter saying i was on leave of absence ....
I belong to wac -02-133 and my RD is March '02. I got laid off and my last pay stub would be for Dec 15th.
I anticipate that it might take some time for me to get a job and wanted to be prepared if in case of an RFE.
