correct me if i am wrong. but if you are SR, you could NOT return to states just by valid I94 and expired visa. the revised regulation exclude certain country people from using the visa automatic revalidation.. please make sure..

thanks i had my US DL for more than 2 yrs. So you could walk out with the canada DL less than an hour? or you just finish the paper work and they mail you the DL later on? the problem is i have to get a second ID for the PR pick up, then i need it quick. thanks again

mine PR pick up letter ask for a second ID. :confused: i don't have a canada driver license. but checking on their web site, one should be able to exchange US DL to the canada DL, does anyone has such experience? to share ? how long does it take and any thing need to causious? thanks

I guess if you have the new I797 with a valid I94 on it. then you don't need to go for stamp. of course, you could go for stamp as well in canada

I am a little confused. on one hand, there is automatic visa revalidation for less than 30 days trip from us to canada(exclude apply for visa, or from the list contries) on the other hand, landed immigrant is required to have nonimmigrant visa to enter US. did anyone go to canada lately...
