I have a similar situation. Its been about a year since my approval but spouse approval is still not received... any ideas how to get traction on that?

I don't think its a common name problem. definately not matching typical names that u would guess ins might be looking out for. i have go tso many different responses from ins as to whethere security check is complete or not that i'm frankly frustrated and am giving up as to whether theyw ill...

my wife is undergoing the "detailed review" as well. Oct 2001. My lawyer tells me that starting this year (jan) BCIS will tell the lawyers as to what part of the check is going on ... not that it will make a difference.

AFAIK you do NOT need advance parole if you plan on returning under 1 yr. Yes you will be asked tough questions questioning your intention to maintain a permanent resident status but you are not required to apply for AP if you are returning in less than a year. the 6 month thingie is more for...

Unfortunately they took 1 AP in Bombay and then the other one in LAX so now we don't have any left. Its not a big issue since it was expiring in a couple of weeks anyways.

How long does it take for secondary inspection (for adv. parole) in LAX? My spouse's flight is delayed and wanted to know if the connection will be missed.

The airlines took away 1 of the two Advance Parole copies in Bombay prior to boarding stating that they need it. Is this normal? What would the implications be upon arrival @ US port of entry?
