Hi Whacko,
Since the original question talked about the I551 stamp, I had that question.
BTW - Thanks for the smarty idea to use the search function :)
Hi,
One of my friend's friend have a B1 visa from a company. He's planning to resign from the current company. Will his B1 Visa be still valid?
Thanks guys,

Hi,
I haven't received any notification to get the I-551 stamped on my passport after receiving the card back in July 07.
I will be travelling out of the country in few weeks and wondering if it's mandatory to get it stamped in the passport?
Thanks
Mahesh
If you're laid off after getting the GC, you may very well change jobs as you were still in good faith to continue the employment. However, I would get a letter if at all possible from the current employer that the contract has been terminated.
Above may help at the time of naturalization...
Thanks Guys.
I also called the 800 number and spoke with a nice officer. Was told the automated system requests to send a notice before it expires (5 days left for our fingerprinting to expire) withint 15 months.
Was told as it's been approved, we need not go for the fingerprinting...
I have also received FP Notice for Tuesday (24th) while both me and my wife have the below message updated . Any idea what's going on?

One of my friends was in the same situation and above is what he did after making an effort to reach his ex-colleagues in vain...
I called the NSC yesterday and upon close of completion of the service request, the customer service told me it wouldn't let her do so as my earlier request was initiated on May 19th and I need to call back in a day or two to pass the 60 day timeline.
I believe the wait time before you can open another service request is 60 days. So, if you have passed by, you may want to initiate another one as situation has changed a lot from May on the approval flood.
Good Luck.
