my suggestion is be more aggresive on your case: talk to your lawyer; try to contact your local law makers; call BCIS...
no one cares more about your case than yourself. you got to get people's attention.
i don't think BCIS stops processing I-485 cases completely this month. the approval volumn may be low, but there are still approvals.
H-1B quota will be finished soon, so they will have enough people in a few months to adjudicate 485s.
Calling the 1800 number is a good idea.
Also, I don't think you need to worry too much, my family stamped at Newark back in May and we did not receive the cards untill Oct. So relax... your card will come.
:)
It's a good sign that your case has been picked up by an officer.
maybe it is just a standard RFE asking for w2 and paystubs.
respond quickly and your approval will come soon....
just for your information. I waited 5 months (5/21 - 10/11) and finally the card arrived. yours may be on the way. :D
as to the form G731, I considered to send one, but did not. I heard it's not very useful.
stamped@Newark, NJ 5/21
card order complete, mailed on 10/11
received on 10/14
comparing to most people, it took 3 more months to complete the process. but it did arrive.
so, for those who are still waiting, it WILL come, just be patient
:D
i called once, useless people...
not sure about the inquiry form, heard it's also useless...
i have seen a story about a person became a US citizen and still had not received the card, all he had was 4 #^%# stamps on passport... what a joke!
i can feel you pain... buddy... but what can we do about it? it's life... it's a way we chose to walk...
keep the hope, you may get approved before your 2nd FP. I think FP notice is generated by another system separately.
