Does anybody know how long it takes these days to approve a case from the time it is assigned? Does anyone have estimates as to when a case was assigned versus when it was approved?

Looks like many remaining cases are being transferred to local INS offices, such as Hartford, CT, Baltimore, MD, Washington,DC etc. I think this is a very bad news for us guys waiting for approval. There is no telling how much longer the local INS will take to schedule an interview.
