I got the same request for my medical exam. The medical form has a supplemental, and they were asking for that only, not the whole thing. I simply didn't want to take any chance, and decided to start over again a sent a new complete medical exam. That work for me. If they say the Supplemental...

Tomochka Congratulations!! Yeah, it is a great feeling to hear back from them, right? I don't think anybody knows from own experience, how much time it takes from here to get the green card. This is a new procedure INS is following to process I-485 applications for asylees. So, experiences...

    Fingerprint Notification

annv Yeah, certainly is a good new to know that after so many years somebody at INS was assigned to take my application out of the shelf. As for the medical examination, I do not think they will ask for anything else, because I already passed that examinaton and was included with my original...

    Fingerprint Notification

Today I got in my mail an INS notification for fingerprinting. This is the first notice I receive from INS since the beginning of October 98 when INS notified me that they had received my application by the beginning of September 98. It seems that INS is moving as per the latest time processing...

    Good guys

...you bet I started digging into immigration matters like five years ago, motivated by the desire to know when my application would be processed, what was restraining its approval and dissapointed by receiving contradictory answers from different attorneys and INS officers. And, I am still...

Will Passport Renew affect GC petition?

cookiemonster If your answer is yes, you have to provide an explanation. Don't know what is going to happen after that. My guess is that if you have a reasonable explanation, they will understand and you won't have problems, but who knows? At the end, everything will be depending on the INS...

Will Passport Renew affect GC petition?

monkey_luna I do not quite understand why you renewed your passport. Anyway, I do not think you have to worry too much about that. At the time of the stamping they can stamp in your I-94 or in your RTD if you get one. You don't need to show your passport if you have "lost" it, right? Good luck

Will Passport Renew affect GC petition?

monkey_luna Did you traveled back to your home country with your renewed passport? Did you traveled abroad with your renewed passport? Do you have RTD? If so, what did you answer to the question if you have renewed your national passport in the I-485 form?

    Latest NSC Processing Time Report

annv You should do nothing, and there is nothing you have to worry about, just wait. My receipt and notice dates are similar to you. Up to now, our applications have been resting on one of the INS shelves, and nobody has touched them since 1998. By initial adjudication INS means taking the...

    Latest NSC Processing Time Report

Cookiemonster It is hard to know if it is going to move again before the end of this FY, though I believe it is going to stay. Some time ago I started a discussion titled "Playing math with INS statistics". At that time I said that there were very few I-485 applications filed between June 98...

    Latest NSC Processing Time Report

Attached is the latest Processing Time Report from NSC. Based on what INS had announced lately, I was not expecting any change on the reported date for I-485 asylees; however, surprisingly as per this report, as of July 31, 2002 INS is announcing that the date of cases pending initial...

Kelvin Nothing has changed because 911 regarding employment for asylees, I-9 form is still valid. Again, I insist your employer shouldn't be asking for especific documents. However; if you have RTD that would be enough to prove identity and employment eligibility, because RTD is a document in...
