My OCI has been approved. I am planning to go to the NY consulate to collect. Will they give the passport on the same day or do I have to come back another day to collect.

Should the supporting dics for OCI be notorized and self attested. When I printed out the forms A and B there is only mention of self attestation but in OCi website there is notary requirements mentioned. See below link under STEP 2

The OCI application seems to have stringent photo requirements. No white background, 80 % of photo should be the applicants's face etc etc.

My experience
I got my schengen business visa. It is valid for 90 days to be used anytime for the next one year. I have to reapply once I use up my 90 days. Go figure.. So much for german efficiency..Like A US GC holder is going to make a beeline to Europe....Sorry blowing a bit of steam...

You could be in deep trouble. The Consulate folks have weekly meetings with department of Homeland security.
Also be careful about posting here. Immigration.com logs your IP address when you post and INS/Dept of hemeland Security can track you in that manner.
