Yes I agree with you nwctzn....... and no other department can be worse then dealing with USCIS. People wait for years to become citizen here and go thru hard times. So making a phone call and getting some dates together, could be done in less then 10mins.

This is normal procedure, IO just want to have those copies in your file. Nothing to worry about. You will get your oath letter in 3-4 weeks:)

The usual time to recieve oath letter is 3-4 weeks. My interview was done on 01/20/12 and my status updated to oath ceremony today on 02/14/12. So don't worry at all. You will recieve it soon.

Yes, The green paper would show them that this application had been here before and will get priority when you resubmit. I think all the applications goes thru some kind of scanner initially, that's why the it has number prints along the edge, after the scanner, it gets checked by person if...

Congratulation :) I dont think you can schedule an earlier oath, I think the oath ceremony based on the number of applicants in the queue per DO. If you are out, then they will put someone else in. so you better not loose your spot. It would'nt hurt trying calling just to make sure...
