Are u serious? Course I don't throw important documents away, I'm was not planning to throw the certificate away either, it's just a question. The whole idea of a certificate seems a little silly to me. I'm still a citizen if I lost the certificate, the government still knows I'm a citizen...

    New US Passports

The passport does NOT become invalid if you disable the RFID, it's turns into a plain old paper passport. Naturalization Certificate needed for?

Proof of citizenship? Isn't that a passport? So the only reason to keep the certificate is so I don't have to apply for a new one before getting the passport renewed/replaced? Cuz it's not like if you use the certificate your not a citizen anymore, u can just get a new one.

    New US Passports

The RFID in the new e-passport can be hacked and cloned - just google it. I'm not going to do this but I have some paranoid friends that did it: You can disable the RFID chip by microwaving your passport. Then the passport becomes a regular old passport, with some broken electronics in it :)

What other background checks after the interview

Agreed, I don't think they check much after the interview. When I had my interview, i have listed all my tickets (< 10) on the N-400. Wrote down that no fine was more the $500 and I brought a letter in from the local court saying I didn't have any problems w/ the law. Anyway after the...
