how will you prove your current legal status if you were to be asked? I know of a case which was unsuccessful, they will easily tell that you never maintained your f1 status hence you risk being barred for 10 years.

Historically either that # never becomes current or it does during the last month. This means if you forward your application for AOS you denounce your f1 status and if by chance you dont get your GC by sept30th you stand high chances of somebody telling you to return to the land of multiple...

most lawyers don't know anything on dv lottery matters. with your case # forget a bout AOS, if you will ever be current then the only option you have is CP.

Hongera for winning!!! i will recommend that you go to nairobi, unlike f1 visa which is normally canceled prior to the interview, H1B allows dual intent (if my memory serves me well), even if they deny it you will fly back using your H!B.
