Recived my interview letter today BUT it was scheduled for when i'll be out of the country so i got put through to an IO who then told me it would hopefully(?!!??) get rescheduled after October 20. He also said that my AP would hopefully (don't like this word) be approved this month.
He wasn't...
Oh yes, you're right, I didn't have a US SIN therefore I couldn't open it.
Thank you for clarifying that for me. I feel stupid now for asking.
I am so excited to finally work again! woohoo! And hopefully I can get a loan and get a car.
So now that my EAD is in the mail, I can go ahead and start the job hunt, right?
I'm curious do they provide me with a temporary SIN or is this a permanent SIN?
Can I open a joint bank account with my husband as well? before they wouldn't let me because I was a canadian citizen, not us...
WOOHOO my EAD was approved and card was ordered! I'm estatic!

Does anyone get a notice onece they send in the requirements for the RFE? or do they just assume?
Thanks for the quick response.
It says on the RFE that I am ineligible for employment authorization persuant to title 8 until 90 days when missing initial evidence received. Nothing in regards to the dance parole.
That's OK I was the dumb one but I just hope my I-131 Advance Parole isn't...

I have not received an interview letter an I am in the same time frame.
Also (I am new to the forum) what does LUD stand for? Thanks.
Hi I'm new to this forum but have been lurking reading posts for a few months now.
My question is in regards to the I-131 advance parole document:
I thought (and was wrong) that I could bring my medical/biometrics with me when I had my I-485 interview. They sent me a pink letter stating...
