Better apply for EAD 5-6 months in advance- it's taking longer these days and I'm sure it'd continue for a while. The fee increases after July 30th, so it's in effect now.

Nelsona, Other people confirmed your point. I got "card ordered" email for both of us on July 24th, so I assume my name check is cleared or may be they are approving very old case whose name check is pending for more than 2 years.

Looks like they send three different types of email- doesn't seem to be any pattern. Welcome mail, approval mail and card production ordered mail. Does approval notice come with physical card or it's sent to the lawyer? Does anybody know?
