When did you re-enter the US?
The plastic cards for the CP folks is issued from Texas (to the best of my knowledge)...
We re-entered the US on 12/30/01 at New-York JFK... Our cards arrived in our mailbox on 01/14/02...
So, do not worry about the cards, unless you arrived long back...
I tried to call and change the information... but...
I called the ITIN department of the IRS... (215) 516-4846...
The officer told me that I need to mail the originil ITIN card alongwith a photocopy of the new Social Security Card to the ITIN office...
IRS PSC-ITIN Unit
PO Box 447...
You need to inform IRS
You need to inform the IRS about the change in status and SSN (with copy of the Social Security Card)...
I need to do the same thing for my son. He had a TIN earlier and now has a SSN...
Good Luck.
TIN Letter
I think you have to return the original/copy of the letter (when TIN was issued) along with copy of the new SS Card...
I shall try to find out more details...
Good Luck.

Congratulations & X-Ray Information
Congratulations on getting over with the CP... Enjoy yourself in Mumbai...
It is mentioned somewhere that you need to submit the X-ray along with the other packet at the PoE. You may want to carry it in your hand baggage, just in case they ask for it...
Congratulations & Good Luck
I had the same issue with my mother\'s name... No issues, the INS officer just asked me the name and made the corrections... This was at JFK on 12/30/01... Received the green cards on 01/14/02...
Good Luck...
Which consulate?
We had our interview at the Mumbai consulate in December 2001... They did not ask for any statements/documents to verify the information on the I-134...
We had carried the bank statements, printouts from the web etc. but they were never asked for...
Good Luck...
Some suggestions...
~ Try to get the Non-Availability Certificate...
If it is absolutely impossible to get the Non-Availablity or Birth Certificate... Then...
~ Collect as many documents as you can, to prove your birth date:
~ Std X certificate / School Leaving...

Should be fine
The letter should be fine...
My CP interview was @ Mumbai in December 2001... My employment letter had the clause:
"Regardless of what is stated above, both parties reserve the right to terminate this Agreement at any time at will and without cause or advance...
I have heard that the Mumbai consulate does not accept USD cash anymore...
In any case, it is quite easy to get the demand drafts done from nearby banks (Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Standard Chartered Grindlays) using Indian Rupees...
You can convert your dollars into Indian Rupees...
