I think INS should stop processing cases filed after Jan 2003 and start clearing
all back log cases. I think it is un fair to all who have been waiting for a long time for I-485 approvals. UCIS needs to be reformed more and audit all questionable approaches like to start concurrent...
I think INS is unfair when it comes to processing I-485. I see that people who did concurrent filing in 2003 are getting thier GC, where as there are some people who filed in 2001 still waiting to get thier approvals. Not to offend any body, i think INS should stop all concurrent processing and...
Re
Outsourcing is it good or bad, is how we see it.
I think all of us are here to have a better quality of life and had struggled hard enough to get our green cards and now we have a situation that we may or may not have jobs.
I see it this way, atleast we don't need visa or geen card if we...
Re
No you don't need to wait till processing dates are current. All UCIS does is replies back to Senator's office saying that they are processing app on or before processing dates but can't answer why they are approving cases after processing dates. Its all rubbish, but contacting senator may...
Yes the online status got updated. The only way i knew that i got approved was that i got an email from UCIS about my case status and later on i verified the status online as well as dailing the 800 number.
Yes
I did my 2nd Fp in Oct 2003 and recieved another one to do in Jan 04. Local Application center did not take for the 3rd one and said it was an INS mistake.
Hi
My I-485 was finally approved on 05/27/04.
RD: Feb 4 2002
ND: Feb 21 2002
Adj: May 27 2004.
Filed for 3 EADs before approval. Changed address 2 times after filing I-485. Changed job in march 2003 and notified while chaging address for the
first time. No RFE issued. Contacted senator...

not a problem
i actually missed my FP on scheduled date. They did the next day when i went in person. My sister was in the same situation like you. They did fp without fuss.
patience
I see lot of people getting impatient when it comes to getting green cards. why can\'t these people behave like civilized and educated people. Its just a disgrace that we have some very selfish people here.
Which service center
If you are in Nebraska service center, then you better think of filing
485. I was in the same boat as you and opted to go for CP. Filed
I-824 to change from 485 to CP, so far no approval after 5.5 months.
My lawyer said that even though if my I-824 was approved today, it...
cp
Hi
If you got your I-140 apporved for AOS then you need to file I-824 to change it to CP. I am in the process of converting from Adjustment
for status to consular processing and do not recommend this procedure.
I filed my I-824 about 5 months back and no approval yet...
such a waste of time
After reviewing the entire 824 and new CP process, its better off doing 485. These days its taking about an year to get an approval for
485 which beats the purpose of applying 824 and going for CP.
Same boat
I am in the same boat, filed mine on 08/13/2001, got reciept on 08/14/2001. So far no approval. The reciept said that it would take
between 60 and 135 days, mine exceeded the duration and i am not able
to reach NSC so far. If anybody get an approval, please post it here.
Hi
Do anyone have experience with the follwing situation or know about this
issue. I have applied for 485 and EAD/AP. I still have valid H1 in my passport till 07/2003 and work for the same company that i sponsored my GC.
I want to get married in comming months. Can i bring...
