Is it my understanding that even if your F-1 visa has expired you are still considered "in status" as long as your I-20 is valid, taking the proper amount of classes and do not travel abroad. When I was an F-1 student my visa expired 2 years into my 4-year college year but I maintained status...
I received my conditional GC few weeks ago and now I'm moving to a new address within the same city. Am I supposed to notify USCIS of the change of address? If so how do I go about doing it? Thanks in advance.
You are right sarrebal. I guess I will stop worring about the 4 day difference. I've been so paranoid with this whole GC process since the beginning. I just need to relax and take it easy now. The hardest part has been accomplished. Good luck with your process.
I finally received my GC in the mail yesterday. I have a simple question. My passport was stamped with approval date of 05/16/2006 when I went in for the interview but my GC shows "resident since" 05/20/2006. Does the 4 day difference make any difference? Shouldn't my "resident since" date be...
My appointment notice for fingerprint/biometrics was both for my EAD and I-485. My fingerprint reciept notice paperwork does indicate both I-765 and I-485 on it.
When they approve it, do they let you know after the interview? It it always the case that they stamp your passport if approved or do they inform you of the approval or denial letter thru snail mail?
Possible GC in 6 months? Atlanta - GA
Hello all, my wife and I submitted I-30 I-765 I-485 at the end of November 2005 for my adjustment of status based on marriage. Just today 03/17/2006, we received our notice in the mail to appear for our interview on 05/16/2006. Assuming all goes well this...
Same timeline
Hey honeyc74 . what a coincidence ..we have an almost exact timeline. My validity dates are exactly the same as yours 02/27/2006 to 02/26/2007
Coincidently I received an email update the same day I originally posted my question (03/06/006) stating that my I-765 has been approved and EAD card should be in the mail. As result I don’t have to go to the district office. I’m just waiting for the EAD to come thru in the mail any day.

It has been over 90 days since I filed for my I-765 (EAD) and my I-485. I have received my receipts and completed the fingerprinting and biometrics. According to USCIS info I can now go to my local office to pickup an interim EAD card. They require you bring your passport. My current passport...
