Approved in San Francisco
Hooray! We were approved today for my Greencard.
Petitioner : My hubby
Applicant : Me
Interview time : 8.30am
We arrived in the area about 7.30am and found 2 hour free parking about three blocks from the office. We stopped at Starbucks and we saw about 20...
It is kinda bad if they don't update the website. :( Cos, if the letter gets lost in the mail, we may never know we have an interview coming up, right?
Anyways, I am still waiting for my interview. I think my RFE is pushing my timelines behind, although I noticed some people with RFE's and...
:)
My EAD email approval came in today!!
Looks like all our EAD are being approved at the same time!!!!
And guess what, my H1-B expiration is May 10. I was getting ready to pack up my stuff at work, and I checked my email and there it was!
Guess I will be at work tomorrow..;)\
Congrats!!!
I am still waiting..... :(
Did you all get an email for the interview, and than the formal letter? Or just a letter?
My DO is San Francisco
Good for you, PriyaB.
I can only hope mine will arrive soon!
Looks like my RFE has pushed my application out a little, cos I still don't have any news on my I485.
Hi everyone!
My H1-B expires on May 10, 2006. I am waiting for my I-485 and my EAD approval. Check out my timelines.
Here is my question. On May 11,2006, I understand I need to stop working. My HR contact is suggesting I take Paid Time Off (PTO) until I get an iEAD or if my EAD gets...
Hi everyone!
I think this is the right place to post my question.
My H1-B expires on May 10, 2006. I am waiting for my I-485 and my EAD approval. Check out my timelines.

Just wanted to let you know that I received an RFE for my Birth Certificate as well.. but... mine was because I did not translate my birth certificate (MY FAULT)
I immediately translated it and send it back and got an email saying they received the RFE.
You are lucky you got yr RFE...
Maybe Bahamas124 did not have a note in the RFE noting that iEAD's are not allowed if one has an RFE.
I will try after 90 days as well; but I really hope I get an EAD before that!!!
That's my hope too. But, I rather tell my manager so he can have a back-up than drop the ball on May 10. I also wonder if how long he can hold the job before he has to hire again. Still crossing all fingers and toes for an EAD approval. :D
:( I tried the INFOPASS too, and the officer could not give me any other info other than keep waiting.
Tomorrow, I will inform my HR contact that my H1-B ends on May 10, 2006 and will see what happens.
Wish me luck!
I made the SAME error and did not send it to the Chicago Lockbox.
So, what happens is the application comes back to you in the next few days, and tells you to send it to the Chicago Lockbox. Which means your Received Date will be later.
Good Luck!
 I don't understand why they don't go ahead and send the application to the Chicago Lockbox. Instead, they prefer to send it back to the applicant to let you know you made a mistake and make you resend it again.... no idea....
