You should apply for a replacement. That is normal practice. You never know how authorities may react to a damaged passport. YOu can apply for a replacement at your nearest Indian consulate.
You can actually submit a Customer Service request to request an update to your priority date on your I140. Normally USCIS responds quickly and once the PD gets fixed, then you should re-apply.
Good luck
I received the "Card production ordered" email yesterday. Now waiting for the actual mail. Looks like all current cases are being approved rightaway! Good luck everyone. For me it was a 5 year wait.
Just call the 800 number and ask for status. Usually when they get a customer service call, they attend to the case rightaway. Twice in the past, I have had this experience.
As long as you have the receipt, you can continue working. EAD simply is an extension. Earlier, USCIS used to issue an interim EAD if there was an emergency of this kind. But I think they have stopped doing that recently. Remember EAD only has an expiry date not a from to date. So even if you...
You just need one form of ID - for you the passport should be fine.
Dont worry about any RFE. If they ask for one it will be based on your application, not on your fingerprinting.
No interview during fingerprinting.
Your EAD will depend upon the processing times posted by the center, in your...
Its interesting that they should state that. 201(b) merely indicates aliens that are not subject to general numerical restrictions based on country quotas. Are you under a NIW category or an assylee?
Since you have an approved I 140, you can file I485 on your own. No input from the company required for that. HOwever, you need to be working with them for 6 months after receipt of teh I485 application, before you can switch employers.
tigerm,
Yes you can.
There are many cases that get adjudicated this way. You just need to hire a good attorney who has done this before. And most of the time teh cases get approved since the USCIS cannot come up with any reason to prove that the case could not be approved.
YOu dont need to withdraw your 485 rightaway. I would suggest that you file for your labor and once you are again ready to file 485, only then withdraw your previous 485.
Yes, you can do it. YOu just need your I 140. But you will need to file a fresh labor petition with the new job description. However, since you will be withdrawing your I 485, you need to be careful of not falling out of status. If you are on EAD, then your new labor and I 140 will need to be...
Yes. Normally the RFE would go to your attorney. If you just left your company, it is most likely that this what the RFE is about. But its good news, because usually when USCIS gets eveidence that you invoked AC21, the approval post that is pretty quick.
