As long as you have one I-140 approved, I-485 will be linked to that approved one. That's what i was told by the immigration officers at VSC & NSC over the phone. Bottom line is to get one I-140 approved to have a base for I-485.

Congrats, Genuine! And thank you very much for sharing the story with us. I have mailed out the letter requesting relinking to VSC and they just received it. I tried and could not get connected to a person at VSC via phone. Hope they would accept my letter of request.

That was exactly what i did with my H1-B. She doesn't need to apply anything. Just make sure she sticks with her current employer and she would be fine. later on, when time comes for her to renew her H1-B (if necessary), she will not have any trouble.

I am sending it today. From what i heard, I am not sure they will send you a notice though. You may want to check LUD of I-485 to see if they have touched it. Just my thought.
