How long is it taking to get the US Passport.

My experience was that passports take 2 weeks with regular processing. But you also want to renounce Indian citizenship that will mean at least another 2 weeks. I think you should delay your trip to mid November at earliest.

If you file a TN renewal by mail, you will use form I-129 and you will send it to either California or Vermont (depending on where you live). You can check the processing times on this site https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do As nelsona mentioned, even if the processing...

    4Th TN Visa

If you want to eliminate the stress of USCIS and ties to Canada issues, then do a mail in TN application. Your mail in application will be decided on its merits; and given that you have had 3 TNs for the same situation you can expect that it will be approved without issue. A mail-in TN is...

    TN to AOS scenario

    1) Priority date becoming current has no bearing on Tn/TD re-entry to US. Only thing that matters is a filed I-485. Until I-485 is filed, you and TD are free to cross border as much as you like. 2)Student must re-enter the US before a I-485 is filed for him/her. Other option is to do consular...

    TN Visa Renewal

As long as you are in TN status, then your family is legally allowed to be in TD status. If you change employers, but still remain in TN status (change TN sponsor), then it has no impact on your family's TD status. Their status is only tied to the fact that you are in TN status, it does not...

TN renew, do I need DS-160 form?

Also if you have applied for I-129, then you can continue to work and be in TN status even past the expiration of your last TN as the USCIS is processing your new I-129. The simply fact of refiling the TN application puts you in a grace period when you can work as the I-129 is pending. There is...

TN renew, do I need DS-160 form?

Since you are Canadian, then Nelson's advice is correct for you. Just apply at the POE/PFI for a new TN, exactly the same as the first time you did it. No Ds-160 required. No I-129 required. When you return to the US, write a letter to USCIS referencing the Receipt Notice Number for your I-129...

TN renew, do I need DS-160 form?

I think the OP is Mexican. Therefore, Nelson's advice is wrong. You need to apply at a US consulate before you cross the border back into the US. You will need to submit DS-160, passport, one photo, letter of employment, proof of education, and fee. Renewal from outside the US is exactly the...

Check out my employer's lawyer's email reagrding TN to Greencard - Need your help!

You might even want to direct your lawyer to this thread, if she/he is a reasonable person. I should point out that when I crossed the border with approved I-140 while on TN, the officers did give me a hard time. Finally a supervisor came by and agreed with me that I-140 was not immigrant...

Check out my employer's lawyer's email reagrding TN to Greencard - Need your help!

Ignore BigJoe's advice on this. A filed PERM and/or I-140 does not preclude you from crossing the border. This issue has been discussed many times in this forum and there is substantial evidence from the USCIS that PERM or I-140 does not create 'immigrant intent'; including more than one memo...
