If your parents will go canada from US via road way and return via road way there should not be any problem, but one thing is sure that their US I-94 will not be change. so that means if their I-94 stamped 6 months still will count 6 months not matter even they were in canada. So their total...

Tell your parents just not to mention about your job, unless consulate ask. Offcourse, If you dont have job, there are Less chances of parents getting visa. I mean that also does not mean that they cannot get visa but, depends on luck. Either you get a job before interview, or Good Luck. :D

there should not be any probem, to exit and enter USA as long as your L2 visa is valid....... You can stay there as long as you want... since you are having non immigrant visas so. Your EAD will be valid.
