You are not the first to mistakenly assume that people keep pets for status symbol. There is no status gained by keeping a pet like say getting a fancy car. A pet is in fact a lot of work, even say a ordinary mixed breed dog, they have to be walked, fed 2 times a day and bathed 2 times a month...

Over this weekend I received a short notice from USCIS to go for oath on May 22 (infopass told me June 25 see sig). They ask to bring Re-entry permit, I never appplied for one all I have is GC and Passport to take along. I would like to apply for my passport at the Oath ceremony if possible...

Dallas DO on stemmons does same day oath (my wife got), I think you too will get the convention center oath on June 25

Per the FBI a fingerprint is good for 6 months as that ( i assume) how often they refresh their database. They probably collect Fingerprints of all Perps and every 6 month they add the Fresh Perps to the database

shoot, since you are already travelling there why not, tell them like I had scheduled international travel, etc and why they canceled the interview etc

Ghantabro, apparently all old cases are on back burner and USCIS is now interview cases submitted in feb 08 & march 08, this is a tactic to show they are making progress. Ever thought of rescinding your original application and do a fresh application, you would probably get it in 4 months then...

Jury Duty

DO NOT RESCHEDULE! They are so backed up (ie they are passing old files by and now processing feb 08 cases, while Jul 07 cases have not received interview letters) that it will be months before they get back to your file, then another month to send you a confirmed date, you will be delayed 4...

dude its just BS, cases who applied in feb 08 are getting oath letters, they just put old cases on back burner

Where are you in the citizenship process, if not yet interviewed then you still have like 3 mths left, so apply for h4 for your wife, so when you get citizenship she can get GC easily
