Same thing happen to me. My I-140 was approved for CP eventhough it was applied for AOS.
1. Can I file for AOS (visa is available as per the Visa Bulletin) even if it looks approved for CP?
-Yes, you can apply for AOS even if your I-140 was approved for CP. You can check this...
Just 2 months after I-485 application and currently on bench with pay. Recently received my EAD card. Today, sponsoring employer was able to find a project but with a low rate and this will reduce my salary by a big percentage. Also today, a company call and is willing to hire me with a good...
Is it legal for an H1B employee to go for a "Leave without Pay (LWOP)" after filing I-485? If it is, what is the reasonable number of months to go on LWOP? Thanks to you all.
Received the Receipt Notices for I-485 & EAD application. I noticed that the PD box has no date in it or simly it is blank. Is this normal? Could you somebody check their Receipts.
245i???
Why did your lawyer filed your I-485 based on 245(i)? Can anybody explain his lawyer\'s action? As far as I know, you can file your I-485 using the normal process and hope that your employer does not cancel the I-140 and hope that INS will take more than 6 months to adjudicate your case.

FP: Waiting

Spoken to NVC
Yes, I did spoke to a lady in NVC. She asked me to send her a fax stating my intention to adjust status here in the US. After that, the AVM was changed saying "We have received notice of the intention to adjust status in the US........".
Libertarian,
I\'m on the same situation. Why not informed your employer? Take a part-time job using your EAD while waiting for a new project. I believed you can take any job using EAD but remember you will need a sponsoring employer for the GC. BTW, how many months of unpaid vacation did...
According to Murthy.com:

Employer\'s obligation to notify INS of termination :
The law states that an H1B employer should notify the INS “immediately” of

No med records...
The doctor will do a blood test to check your immunity levels. Will cost around 350-400 dollars for the test. The result will determine which vaccines you will need.
Occupation in I-485
I\'ve been on the same situation before. The best thing to do is get a copy of your approved Labor Certification from your employer. You will see your job position & job description on your LC.
Hope this helps.
