To take advtg of 180 day rule, is EAD or H1 the better option?

No Title The I485 may be denied for lots of reasons, including the company going down. I do not think that you are automatically deported in this case - and maybe in others. Also using the EAD greatly simplifies your job search, specially in this climate. You can focus on negotiating the...

To take advtg of 180 day rule, is EAD or H1 the better option?

No Title As I understand it EAD is a (slightly) better option. This preserves your H1 time. There are some implications with travel outside the US, specially if you do not have AP. I am not a lawyer so I may be totally wrong on this topic.

Approved 10 days after FP !!!

No Title Congrats! Quite a lucky guy. I wish you all the best luck in your new life. At the same time I am pretty frustrated to see this much inconsistency in the INS processing times. (local interview waiter ND 11/00, FP 04/01, Transfer 05/01)

    180 days problem!!!!

No Title What exactly is the problem :-) As I understand it use EAD to get new job in the same classification and same salary (or at least over the LC limit). Some people say INS should be notified by sending letter from new employer. Anyway have letter ready. Extend EAD at your leisure...

No Title Simple Simon, Congratulations on your approval and thank you very much for posting your information. This is the second interview this week. Unfortunately the San Jose office, on which I am waiting, seems to be a lot busier than the San Francisco one.

No Title My FP was also scheduled \'late\' - 1.5 months - but yours is certainly a record from what I\'ve seen so far. I did my FP on time, mostly due to external circumstances. Good luck!
