My personal life experience has few common points with yours. I expect most people on this board to have been raised outside the US and to have came here either with a pretty high level degree or with their mind set to go in high level education.
In my opinion a high level education...

Bongo, I agree with you on this one. Vigilance does not end with getting the greencard, there are still mistakes you can make as a permanent resident.
Note that vigilance is the middle name of other organizations including the ACLU, http://www.aclu.org. Be warned that the ACLU is a...

Do you mean besides the AVM @ 949 831 8427?
When appropriate a good immigration lawyer will also send a fax inquiry. I am out of the loop with which cases are being processes right now so it is difficult for me to judge how old your case is compared to similar situations.

1. Locate your local rep. Some of them have web sites - start from the main congress web site or google. You should be able to find a phone number in multiple ways. They are not trying to hide from the public, on the opposite.
2. Call them. They will be very polite and patient, return...

Some of my friends got their approval 1 week after the interview. You can try contacting either your lawyer or your local congress representative and have them inquire.

Gotta change that name now :-)
Good luck, and see you in the \'after the green card\' thread. As some one there said, the approval is just the end of the beginning.

Q1. I had lots of original documents with me including diplomas, birth/marriage certificates with translations and copies. I even had extra diplomas and certificates compared to what I\'ve submitted for I485. The officer did not ask for any of them :-)
Q2. One copy is enough.
