Thats not correct. One can apply for J1 extention untill DOS reached to a decision.

I you guys separated legally then he has no choice But to go back. I am not sure if you can withdraw your sponcership otherwise.

Thanks for the reply. I tried hard for two weeks to talk to Consulate SF and yesterday I got lucky and my call went through. They said they will call me when they will have all three NORI and slammed the phone in my face.
