Visa Granted after 9 months!! hey guys It took 9 months. Yes to JRFF that the consulate does some of their own processing once they get the clearance from the Dept of State. I am not sure if its called processing or just a delay to join the bits and pieces of the puzzle(visa case)...

2nd clearance?? hi guys What does second/third clearance mean? Do they send the case to DOS again or do they do some homework here at the consulate? Can anyone enlighten? I recieved a clearance from the DOS last month and i was asked by the consulate to drop in my passport and visa fees...

DOS not really helpful... hi all The best part of DOS these days is they are not providing any details of the case. Instead they have a favorite liner "You are most welcome to give us a call next week to check for an update". Its been more than 30 weeks now and they say the same thing ...

DOS contact hi all There is this one lady @ DOS..she sounds hispanic by origin..I hate it when she picks up the phone. She is not at all helpful and ofcourse not at all encouraging. There is another guy who is totally different and is very helpful. Did any of you feel this way...
