    Flying Norwegian Air with RTD

Anyone has experience flying with Norwegian Air with a Refugee Travel Document? I'm going to Europe soon and I have a schengen visa. Just want to make sure the airline recognizes RTD as a passport replacement.

    Received asylum GC from TSC

they mailed the decision to me. Yes you are right usually they ask you to come back in two weeks to pick up the decision. But in my case, I was actually in legal status when I applied for asylum so they thought it's ok to make me wait longer.

A question about Asylum and family based visas.

You can have multiple immigration applications pending at the same time. One doesn't necessarily disqualify the other. But why would you apply for asylum when you have a family green card pending? you should know that it currently takes at least a year (often times years) to get the asylum...

    How long will i-485 take?

Hi guys - I'm applying for a green card for my wife; I'm a permanent resident. Her I-130 was approved a few months ago. How long would it take to have I-485 approved, start counting from when the form is submitted?

    it's gotta be trump

Agree with above. Somehow this year the date for filing is still stuck in Apr 2016 for F2A as opposed to Nov 2015 the same time last year.

    it's gotta be trump

The line for family green card is hardly moving at all. Final action for F2A has been stuck in September 2015 for quite some time. Do we expect any movement for October (new USCIS fiscal year)? will they final switch back to "dates for filing" from "final action"?

    I-130 delays

I filed I-130 for my wife in September 2016. I'm a green card holder not a citizen. The application is being processed out of the California center. Their processing time is still stuck on Aug 2016 as of end of February. I believe I-130 usually takes ~5 months to approve and I'm on the 9th...

Not sure what to do in this hostile climate

when you said "sorta took the cannot work without ins authorization" off of the social security card, what do you mean exactly? Altering/falsifying a federal document is very serious. I would consult a lawyer to see if this counts as a criminal offense, just to be on the cautious side. From...

    Refugee Travel Document I-131 Experience?

i have applied for RTD 3 times, the most recent one just a couple weeks ago (obviously still waiting on it). First time applications are usually slow and it took ~6 months for me. My second application was like a breeze - approved and received it in the mail in ~2 months. RTD doesn't strike me...

    Granted Asylum

He did say there will be exceptions but it's unclear how this would be interpreted. The order already went into effect actually as of Friday night, as reported by the New York Times as refugees were detained at airports. I guess there is very little you can do at this point. For any others I'd...

Traveling Outside the US As Asylee applicant ,Asylee,LPR through Asylum

Based on the text of the signed executive order (signed Friday afternoon), the temporary ban of the refugee program applies only to new refugees, not those already approved or those who have a green card. BUT if you are originally from one of the seven countries named in the order (Iraq, Syria...

    Granted Asylum

Hey - the order is already signed and is going to be in full effect by Monday. Immigrants from seven countries including Syria will be banned from entry for at least 30 days. If I were you I would bring your family into the US asap.

    Waiting Asylum decision

I was lucky enough to be interviewed just a month after filing. To this day I have no idea why. It was in the Newark Asylum Office.
