TN's good for 3 yrs. is this for real?

As much as it is good news for a lot of us, there is a political message behind this. They are replying to Microsoft announcement that they will ship 1000 high end research and development jobs to Vancouver, BC.

3 months + for administrative processing?

most likely her name check is pending. for the past few years, all immigration benefits need to have a name check which has created a new mess and backlog of its own. nothing can be done really. she just has to pray that they get to it on time.

    240 day rule

nelsona, i would recommand returning the I-94 because that is the process and they are not so kind on people who dont follow the rule. if they give you a multiple entry I-94, their system shows that you have a multiple entry visa. i would say not returning the I-94 is like playing with fire and...

How do I know if I am eligible for a TN visa?

one major thing you must keep in mind is that the employment offer letter for TN is not as simple as the one you get to give it to a bank. if you can get a lawyer who knows his way around TN to write it for your employer.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform-destiny of diversity lottery

I agree, DV is the only thing that glorifies the Open door policy and melting pot philosophy. They may reduce it by allocating some number towards something else. Just like what they did back in 1996 (I am not sure if that is a right date) by taking 5000 out of total of 55,000 for NACARA...

Comprehensive Immigration Reform-destiny of diversity lottery

First of all, This Thread is for DV visas and not for comprehensive immigration reform. Second of all, as far as comprehensive immigration reform, there are a lot greater issues on table than a Diversity Visa. They are going to do something about H1B visa cap and EB backlog reduction which will...
