I am on a TN visa issued under company A. After I started working, found out that company A is actually owned by company B (B owns A). Initially I thought it is a wholly owned subsidiary of company B. However, after working for more that 2 years, recently HR told me that although A operates under a different name (than B) and has separate office location, it does not have a separate tax ID, which means that it is not a separate entity. In this scenario, should I apply for a new TN with company B (main company) and tell the officer that I will work for A which is just a division of B?
