Just wanted to let everybody know on this particular thread that I took the Oath of Allegiance yesterday. I'm so honored and proud to call myself an American citizen now. It was a truly moving ceremony. At least for me it was. I did not imagine that the process, from submitting the N-400 to the...
Passed my citizenship interview today in Los Angeles.
Spent more time being pre-processed and waiting than in the interview itself. While waiting to be called into the interview itself a very friendly IO, (probably the senior/supervisor/or something like that of the others) came by the waiting...
Got my interview letter Jan 02. Interview scheduled for Jan 29th. I've been going through the Citizenship Test Q&As booklet and listening to the CD while stuck in traffic during my evening commute. Other than whats listed in the Interview Scheduling letter, is there anything we (wife & myself)...
I got my FPs done Nov 26, and just checked my status online a few minutes ago - shows on Nov 29 my application was placed in line for interview scheduling. I hadnt expected this just 3 days later, so I had to come back to this forum again to get an idea what that could possibly indicate...
Wasnt aware about the SMS notification.
Like you, I sent my N400 11/01, but instead of a check, I used a money order. Would that be the reason why ? Its not really a big deal, but just curious about it
7c is the confusing part. So if I do list them down - is it more a matter for their own information, or it really does count in addition to the last 5 years, as asked in 7a and 7b ? Do I need to send any supporting documents for 7c, showing that I didnt abandon residence ?
To make it more...
Thanks Tazmania & cafeconleche (I'd actually need one of those right abouts now !!!). So would you suggest that on Part 7c I provide the details of the trips I took outside the US since I became a LPR, even though they were taken outside of the last 5 years timeframe preceding my application ...
Hello all. I'm preparing to submit form N-400 and I'd like to really understand "Part 7" on the form. Quick background - we've been residing in the U.S. over the last 5 years, without a single trip outside the U.S. i.e. from late 2008 to present. From July 2007 when we received our GCs (through...
Obeezyb,
just to understand your table's entry - is it that you checked and got your winner's confirmation 01.05.2012 and sent your forms 31.07.2012, with KCC confirming receipt 02.11.2012 ?
If I've interpreted it correct, how comes it too long between your winner's confirmation and when you...
Hey Obeezyb,
sorry for taking forever to respond. Been kinda caught up with all sorts of things that I hadnt had time to come back here. Hope all of you are well. To quickly answer some of your questions:
> Cost of living:
Really depends where you are. California and New York are...
Thanks for this information. I'm not in any particular rush, although I do want to get it done soon as I can with the least hussle. I can wait till Nov next year, when we both without a doubt would have had 5 years of unbroken stay, or Nov 1st next year minus 90 days.
Good to hear Obeezyb.
Definitely striking it out on your own would be like getting stuck between a rock and a hard place, but hey, not everyone knows somebody who can help.
My take on life in the US ? I can write several paragraphs of an answer, but to keep it short, I absolutely love it here...
