My answer to both of your questions is the same.. Do not worry too much. My online status never changed from 2002 - 2005 while I gave three finger prints.. Regarding EAD, you could wait another 30 days and then give VSC a call if the approval does not come thru.

I would suggest that you contact USCIS and find out if they received the name check results from FBI. I do not remember your case details but you may use the email response from FBI to send an expedite request to USCIS (if you feel that your case has been delayed)...
I was told by a lady at FBI that the no records does not mean there will not be a problem with security clearance. The security check process for FOIPA and CIS is very different. However, no records is a good sign
