A year ago I had provided an affidavit of financial support for my friend to get an F1 visa. We recently had some fallout and no longer communicate and I dont want to be financially liable for anything. Here's my question
1. Should I consider withdrawing the affidavit of support?
2. Can I do...
Yep. You are waiting for the visa # availablilty. Check your PD's, if you are current call them right away. We got the same message last year, checked our PD and it was current, called them back and they said it was put in the wrong category (EB3 instead of EB2) and they corrected it. It moved...
We received a similar RFE and they asked for the letter from the current employer or future employer. You should clearly state that in your letter indicating that GC is for future employment with company B.
I'd suggest you use a Lawyer if you don't have one. You can usually set up a phone...
Don't quote me but I'd think since your GC is sponsered by company B, you will need to provide a letter from them about your future employment, they will need to state your position, duties and $ etc.
jaisingh - I dont think they will just abandon the case without sending you a notice. You might wait for the RFE to see if your spouse received one as well, then call VSC, speak to an officer to see what is happening with your wife's case. It is not always necessary for both of you to receive an...
I had a similar RFE. The freaking doctor forgot to sign the waiver form. In my case I was able to go back to the Doctor and got a signed copy. gc2005nyc is correct - you could go to a local doctor and get this done all over again if required.
gcmera2 - I don't think LUD's really mean anything, besides they are working on your case. In my case I did receive FP notices etc. without any change in LUD's. Primary was approved in 30 days after RFE.
jaisingh - I think you should be fine, I don't think they really care about how much you...
gc2005nyc - Not sure why they requested another set of finger prints. As far as I understand fingerprints are stored digitally, they don't really expire unless there is a disconnect in their systems.
Hope this helps
Ah... in our case, primary is over a week but not change in status yet. Dependant got FP notice today, which was ordered on the date of primary approval. So, I guess they should approve the dependant after the FP is done.
NoGCYet - Primary EB2 from a non retrogressed country (Philippines)
Question - Primary Approved (01/05), dependent still pending. Received approval notice for primary but does not mention anything about info pass appointment or passport stamping. Can we still take an info pass appointment and get it stamped?
Any suggestions on whether to follow up on the...
