They asked me if I am a US citizen.
I said no, and then all the hassles happened.
I wonder what happened if I said yes.
I know it is not a good idea, but even the peoples in the DMV do not seem to know what the exact regulation is.
They just said the rule has been changed since 9/11...
I had an unpleasant experience on renewing my driver's license.
Since 9/11 terror, the department of motor vehicle here in Dayton, Ohio has been instructed that the non-citizens have to show valid passport, I-94, letter from employers or schools, or the green card if he/she is a...
I just got the stamp on the passport, so I don't have the actual card.
Is the stamp enough to apply for the replacement SSN card?
Or should I wait until I get the card?
I guess I have too many questions... so I wish this is the last one... :)
Thank you, again.
Strangely, my SSN card doesn't say anything like "Valid for work only with INS authorization".
My wife's SSN card says "Not valid for work".
I guess this is because I got it when I was in F-1 visa, and my wife got it when she was in H-4 visa.
Is this true?
And in my case, don't I need to...
I got the I-485 approval last week and got the stamp on the passport.
My question is that I have applied for an extension of H-1B visa because the old one was to expired at that time.
It is still pending.
Now, what happens if I get a notice of extension approval?
Just ignore it...
Is this true that the local INS office no longer issue EAD since April 1?
I live in Dayton, OH and my local office is located in Cincinnati.
If that is true, I have to send the application to Nebraska.
If so, how long does it take to get EAD?
Does anybody have any information about this...
I have H-1B visa and it will expire soon, so I need to get the EAD.
As far as I know, my visa will be invalidated as soon as I get the EAD.
My wife\'s visa is H-4, which is dependent on my visa.
Should my wife get the EAD also? or can she still stay with the H-4
