I too got the same letter "we are actively process the case, it's under additional review, call back in 6 months". My name check has been cleared few months ago as per infopass appointment.Why they need additional time ? Crap.

I too got the same response to my first service request. It seems that they are doing this to every one now as this would be the new way to keep applicants away from calling them. 6 months ! .

My case was also transferred from TSC to VSC some time during Oct-Nov 2006. I received a mail from them which said the same thing . I am still waiting.......... Please add me to the list. By the way, what is the number that you called ?

I took an info pass today and came to know that both mine and my spouse name checks are not been cleared and still pending. I have completed 5th year of my GC process. I am not the lucky one to get my name check cleared.

geofu54, Thanks for the clarification. Since I have EAD now, my company is not willing to spend on H1 .By the way, I am in the 8th year and if my 485 is rejected ,I will be out of status anyway from that day onwards, even if I have H1B . Why do I need H1B ?

I think I confused above. Simple question. Can anybody tell me whether I will on a legal status based on my valid EAD, if my I-94 is expired ? How will this be recorded in the system, when one leave country for a vacation ?
