  • My problem:
    1. I fell out of status(F1). I didn't attend school as I supposed to. My reinstate has been denial.
    2. I lost my passport with I-94.

So, when I went for interview, the IO more focus on those problem and my relationship with husband(as usual).
After I send out my GC package. I lost my expire passport with visa and I-94. So, I send I-102 form about a month before my interview appointment in hope to receive it before interview. However, I didn't receive anything before my interview date. I did talk to some people on various immigration forum. Some of them, receive i-102 with in a month, but I am not one of those. :-(

09/10/10(DAY 58)(DAY 51) - Biometrics Appointment (went there on 9/10, a lot of people on that day. It took me about half an hour. I have to wait at least 20 mins) - DONE
Since becoming Citizen, I haven't had a chance to SSA office. I just did it on 3/8. I went to the one near S Van Dorn Metro. I went there around 2 PM. There were lots of people. Security told me to go to the line. I thought, I am lucky. I have to go to short line. DREAMING. I just went there to get my Que. I have to fill out form. Then, sitting sitting sitting for over an hour. It took them 1 hour and 20 minute to call my name. Then, It took me about 10 minutes to update my status. They will send me a new SSA card too.

Anyway, the lady asked me to check info to confirm info. There were 2 mistakes; my mother last name missed-spell and a place where I was born. Then, she said it fine. I don't need to change anything. I was so confused why she asked me to correct my info, but she didn't correct it. I did asked her. She said, it wasn't important.
At the Oath Ceremony, I need to submit a paper that IO gave. It asked pretty much the same stuff on N400(only some). To make sure that you're not changing anything because some people do not get the same day oath. This time I was there early. There were about 50 people at the oath ceremony. At the ceremony, they will show you video. You have to sing The Star-Spangled Banner. Read the Oath of Allegiance.
Then, he asked all the YES / NO questions.

Then, Civic test. I can't remember the exact question. But, he didn't ask me 10 questions since I answered all the question correctly.

Finally, he asked me to read a question. He answer the question(I write that answer).

Then, he went out to check oath time. He said if my interview time at 9, I would get oath time at 10. So, he asked if I can come back at 2PM. I said YES. (same day oath)
However, within 15 minutes. IO call my name still nervous. So, I forgot all of my documents on a chair(HAHHAHAH). IO was so nice. He asked me some everyday life question which make me feel more relax. When I got in the room, there were 2 IO(supervisor and trainee IO). Nervous break down...

First, the supervisor asked me to raise my right hand...and so on.

Then, trainee IO start all the process. He asked for GC and DL.

Then, Verified more info and all the info on the application. He asked about my trip outside of the U.S. My last trip was in 2001. Then, he asked about my job, since I put my work address as a headquarter which is in West Coast. He said you're not driving to work over there, right. So, I told him where I work exactly(LOCAL area). Then, he asked about traffic ticket that I mention on the application. (SHOW: traffic citation - I have extra copy on hand. So, IO took it and put it on file.)
I was so nervous because I have issue with my tax. I have never file tax before. So, I have to follow up with everything before sending out the application. I was at the interview office in Fairfax, VA. I was so nervous. I brought all the documents with me. Anyway, I was 15 minutes late because I made a wrong turn. Then, it's even worse, I forgot my wallet(ID inside) in the car. Luckily, my girlfriend with me that day. So, she went back to the car and get the wallet. I got through the security. I have to go to second floor. So, when I got to the interview waiting area, there were lots of people. I thought I might have to wait forever. Then, I dropped my interview letter at the counter around 8:40AM. I thought it will extend my interview time since I am late.
This is one of my friend timeline. He got his green card via his mother. (He will tell history. I am not going to type his long story.)
