How to Apply for a Green Card- Do it Yourself

I wouldnt be so quick to answer that. I did a quick research, forms I485, I765 and I131 state that if you are filing concurrently then the address is PO BOX 805887, CHICAGO IL 60680-4120. Only I-130 says that the address is PO BOX 805887, CHICAGO IL 60680-4107. If you look at instructions...

I have another question for you guys. I have question on I-485 line item 14b. Do I even need to fill that part out if I am a US Citizen? The permanent residence that I had before I got my citizenship was through a marriage to a US Citizen and I got divorced. I am getting married again to a...

Marriage to F1 after Citizenship and Travel of F1 person

I got my citizenship recently and plan on getting married soon to a F1 student. But the thing is that the F1 student needs to travel in Dec 08. This thread is posted in the Citizenship forum, but I thought it deserves attention here and may be people can comment on it here or in the citizenship...

Marriage to F1 after Citizenship and Travel of F1 person

Thanks Jack and Bob for your replies. I am rethinking this situation again when to get married and file now or wait till later. The problem with later is that I would like to be safe and marry and then file 60 or 90 days after the trip in Dec 08. That might delay things into Apr 09 which seems...

I just wanted to update the thread in case someone else finds this helpful. Since I wasnt sure which way to go, I contacted my attorney at murthy.com. I was advised to put a hold on the marriage until the trip is completed. After the trip I can get married within a short period of time but wait...

Marriage to F1 after Citizenship and Travel of F1 person

Thanks guys for the engaging discussion and information. Looks like I am in two minds about this, whether to get married now or not. Should I seek professional opinion? I know a person who 8 years ago got married to a US Citizen, a day before they got legally married in the US they both...

Thanks Jackolantern. I am not familiar with I-131. I just read about it. The thing is if I file the whole package right now, will it get approved before December for travel?

    Finished the interview successfully

They both meant you are allowed to apply (4 years 9 months) 90 days before your 5 year anniversary which is what you did. But you misstated that you applied 180days (4 years and 6 months) before the 5 year anniversary, that if the case application will be denied.

    Baltimore N-400 Timeline

I would be safe and use the date on GC (dates are not too far apart) and apply 90 days before your 3rd or 5th anniversary, depending on your situation. +1. I setup an Infopass after 30 days and was told that my application is sitting on supervisors desk for final approval.
