Here's a question:
Who handles the process of creation of the plastic green card after passport stamping is completed? Is in the service center (Vermont, Nebraska, Texas, California) where the I485 was processed, or is it the local INS office where the passport stamping was done?
I will...
Same boat
I am in the same boat.
Concurrently filed I140 and I485 on 6/12/2004
I140 approved 1/18/2005
FP done 2/25/2005
LUD for I485 3/24/2005 Notice says "Finger print report received on 3/7/2005 and processing has resumed on your case"
Go for it!
Go for both EB-1 EA as well as EB-2NIW. Your credentials are strong. If you draft your reference letters and petition carefully, you can do it! Drafting the documents is the key. But you can do it, don't be discouraged!
I am in the exact same boat too...
mschalasani,
I am in exactly the same boat. My wife is in India, both of us have received FP notice from VSC to appear at Detroit ASC on 2/25. My wife will return from India on 4/14.
I have same questions as you, so waiting for someone to answer...
pixpax,
Why is your state LC taking so long?
are you in Michigan by any chance? It is taking too long there. One of my friends is trying.
I will suggest try hard to convince your company to do OR.
All that the company needs to do for OR is three small things:
1) Give you a letter...
VSC is cruising
VSC is cruising at red hot speeds. The current processing date is DEC 24, 2004. So rest assured, your approval is for real. I was similarly surprised couple weeks back, and was skeptical until my approval notice arrived. But it did arrive. No qualms anymore.
Sure. Allow me a few days to cleanup my personal details and then I can post it. By the way it is the OR petition that got accepted. I have still not submitted the EA and NIW petitions.
A lawyer I consulted said that no matter how many I-140s you file, you are only allowed to file one I-485. Multiple 485s lead to complications and automatically leads to an interview by USCIS.
I am not very sure how to take this. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi all,
Looks like VSC is cruising fast!
I checked my online case status yesterday and to my tremendous surprise, my EB1-OR case has been approved (AD 01/15/2005). Still waiting to receive the approval notice in the mail.
My ND is 6/18/2004, a full year ahead of the date mentioned in...
